Sailed Hove this morning from 11 til 12:30 ish. Rigged 5.5m on 81ltr wave board, but the wind dropped away as the sun came out, to the point where it was hard to plane. Everybody sort of crept in through the shorebreak. Even though it was 'low' tide ish, the water was up around the big groyne and there was too much shorebreak just to wade out or stand up in the shallows on the way in. Stuck the 100 ltr freestyle on and that was much more fun with swoops a plenty on the bumpy old swell. The wind filled in nicely so that you could relax about getting upwind again. Cross shore with a bit of 'on', force 4-5 I guess.
